Assalam-O-Alaikum,

All the praise be to Allah The most beneficent and most merciful. We are thankful to Allah (SWT) that two badges of SIOHS have graduated.

We are constantly trying to improve the quality of education at Sindh institute of oral health sciences (SIOHS).

Preparations of the first convocation for BDS is underway and it is scheduled for 18th Dec 2022.

Latest developments as far as SIOHS is concerned we are now shifting to the new dental OPD building on 1st and 2nd floors.

A PhD program in Oral Health Sciences has been given NOC from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Insha Allah soon will be starting a PhD in Dentistry.

Pioneer batch of BDS has successfully completed house job in October 2022 and it’s a great pleasure and moment of pride for SIOHS and TSMU that eleven students have cleared FCPS part one in the first attempt. Well done Pioneer batch we all are proud of you and pray that you keep JSMU flag highest Insha Allah.

House job of the second batch is on the way and will be concluded in Aug 2023.

We all are working to keep the teaching and learning at SIOHS up to the standard and may Allah give us strength to serve the nation. Ameen.

By the grace of almighty Allah our first batch of BDS is now graduated and passing rate was 98.11% and soon they will be starting house job.

We are constantly trying to improve the quality of education at Sindh institute of oral health sciences (SIOHS).

With the establishment of institute of medical education (IME), formation of dental education cell (DEC) and induction of senior and experienced teaching members, teaching, learning and assessment will be more effective and at par with international standards.

Although we had difficulties in running teaching during pandemic of Covid-19 but with thehard work of teaching faculty and support staff specially the IT and IME departments we were able to run the online classes regularly.

Responsibility now lies upon students to make best use of time during this period of difficulty by attending and completing the tasks assigned to them during on line teaching and focusing on self-directed learning.

I wish our graduates to excel as confident, safe and self-learner dental and medical practitioners and make a difference in giving services to the public when they start practice.

I am confident that we all will be soon back to norm Insha Allah, may Allah keep us safe and healthy. Aameen
