| Eligibility Criteria | Local Students | As per the Higher Education Commission Policy on PhD degree program effective January 1, 2021) Healthcare Professionals with a minimum 16 years of education. Priority will be given to: Master/MSc/M Phil in Health Professions Education/Medical Education from a recognized university based on a minimum of 50 credits after 16 years of education A minimum CGPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0 in the semester system) or First Division (in the annual system) in the most recent degree obtained Secure at least 60% in any of the following admission tests: a. The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) administered by the Education Testing Service b. A Graduate Admission Test (GAT) administered by the Educational Testing Council or 70% at university Admission Test Submission of a statement of purpose to be used for determining the preparedness and interest of the candidate in pursuing doctoral studies Scholarly contribution including publications in impact factor, peer reviewed journals and grants Minimum experience of three years of working in/with a Health Professions/Medical/Dental Education department A pass in the Multiple Mini Interviews to be conducted by JSMU admissions committee |
